The Belarusian People's Front Party (BNF) sent a request to Henadz Davydzka, the chairperson of the Belarusian Television Company, asking to stop broadcasting the Russian program Time will Show and consider removal of other news and informational programs on channels ATN,RTR and NTV until the conflict in the South East of Ukraine is fully settled.

"Lately the Belarusian TV, especially on channels ATN and the Russian channels that are restranslated in Belarus with full access (ANT, RTR, NTV), there is a lot of information discrediting the leaders and people of the neighboring state - Ukraine. There is a direct incitement of national hatered which has nothing to do with freedom of speech or freedom to distribute information. Such propaganda contradicts to the laws of Belarus and views of the head of the Belarusian state who consistently speaks for integrity of Ukraine's territory," says the request.

In his turn, Henadz Davydzka replied:
"The NTV-Belarus has its own broadcasting network, trying to the maximum to mitigate the propagandist rhetoric of the NTV channel in the part of the so called special reports, journalistic investigations, analytical programs andreports that might contribute to incitement of international hatered and go against the state policy of informational security of the Republic of Belarus and the official standing of our state in relation to sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine."
