Former Journalists of Belorusy I Rynok Launch a News Website

The news resource belrynok.by was launched on May 11.

The major part of the editorial office, in all around 10 people, quit the newspaper Belorusy I Rynok (Belorusians and Market) through an editorial conflict, after the main shareholder and the chief editor of the newspaper changed. The new management and the permanent journalistic staff had controversy over the content policy, and in the end, the journalists quit.

“We will try to keep the authors team and what we have been doing in the newspaper,” says one of the journalists Iryna Krylovich. “By now we are not a mass medium in the full sense, we still have not defined exact duties. For the time being, we are a creative team of authors. Our main idea is to create an open platform for quality author journalism, for expert analytics.”

Belorusy I Rynok is an independent newspaper providing economic, political, social reports, with the current circulation of the print version over 5000.
